EXECUTIVE RESUMÉ

Dr Meyer is a spirited passionate person. She is well-known in the greater Tshwane area for her ability to teach people with wisdom and humor. She has the rare ability to reach people from all walks of life and all ages. Those who know her well testify to her humility and deep caring for people. She
has profound insight in peoples’ heartache and has proven herself to be an excellent counsellor who does not give up on people or judge them. Her
ability to integrate scientific knowledge with truths from the Word of God has captivated many audiences who have been seeking answers for their
inability to trust God as a Father and get healing for their troubled souls. All her counselling is done under guidance of the Holy Spirit and it is well
known that she prays for every person who seeks her help. Her behavior is professional and ethical and her techniques based on scientific insights and
knowledge.

Dr. Meyer did her internship during 1978 in the Student Counselling Centre at the University of the Free State. Her responsibilities included:

• Counselling students who had difficulty adjusting to University life
• Do therapy with students who suffered from severe depression, anxiety and bipolar mood disorder
• Help students perform more efficiently in their studies · provide students and Grade 12 learners with career counselling
• Upskill lecturers to empower them to rise to the then new challenges of modular teaching
• Dr Meyer has been involved in the training of lecturers at the University of the Free State to embrace and facilitate a modular teaching model. She has been a supervisor of student counsellors and intern psychologists since 1985. All students supervised by her have successfully completed the HPCSA Board examination. This is a testimony to her professionalism, ethical conduct and academic excellence.

She has been a facilitator of women’s camps, day seminars, workshops and short courses since 1980.

She also has extensive experience in supporting clients to manage their mood disorders and anxiety.

Dr Meyer has been one of the first psychologists in South Africa to practice from a Biblical perspective and is well known in the Christian fraternity
for her ability to integrate scientific knowledge with Biblical truth and principles.
